inSulayman Al Bassam, a Kuwaiti playwright, director, and founder of Zaoum Theatre Company and its Arabic arm Sulayman Al-Bassam Theatre Kuwait, gave that day’s session. The Proteges watched his play’s documentary, “Richard III and Arab VIP”. It shows the process that he underwent through to creating a play of his. He also gave a session on emotional awareness.

inThe students arrived at CAP (The Contemporary Art Platform) and were introduced to the biggest arts library in Kuwait. The platform also boasted numerous art works from many different Kuwaiti artists.
The visit was mainly used to show the importance of having an artistic platform in Kuwait. Then, the proteges were taken to Loyac, where they met with the performing dancers there and were given some exercise lessons.

inDay 22: Winning Time Documentary
During this day, mentor Shamlan Al Bahar gave a spontaneous lecture on success. Also, the proteges watched a documentary titled “Winning Time” detailing the struggles and successes of Basketball star Reggie Miller.
Day 23:
This day was beneficial for the students in relation to their project work. They were given a lecture on how to organise their teams using spreadsheets and online resources.
Day 24: Technical Tips and Tricks
This day continued the day before. A lecture given by Mentor Mishal Al Ibrahim discusses the importance of Google and the quick ways to better understand how the Microsoft applications work.
Day 25: Business Ethics
Mentor Rana Al Khaled gave this session. The session mainly discusses Business Ethics: the dos and don’ts of business practices. The proteges were given key words and information and were asked to apply that to numerous cases that mentor Rana presented.

inTo mark the Proteges final day in Ireland, they took to the cliffs of Moher where they were given a 7 hour long tour along the historical cliffs, grasping their final moments in Ireland and reminiscing the fond memories of their first day in the ‘land of a thousand welcomes’.
Then it was time to head back to the hotel with one final surprise from Eddie Lenihan.
Eddie, an Irish author, story teller and broadcaster, welcomingly greeted the Proteges.
They hustled around him, and with all ears listening to irish tales of myth, mystery & folklore.

inToday the proteges ventured to Markree’s Castle, a historical irish landmark thats partially moated by the Unshin river. There they attended a Creative Writing Workshop held by the esteemed Professor Ruth Barton from Trinity College of Dublin.
The entire day consisted of writing activities and exercises that helped them develop their own setting, characters, synopsis & a captivating plot in order to yield a captivating and engaging story.
Afterwards, they explored the terrains of the castle. Dwelling deep into its enriching history.

inThis day was consumed by a number of sessions. First, mentors Rana Al Khaled and Yarub Bourahmah gave a session on children’s literature and the deep meaning that is to be found within; examining works like “The Giving Tree” by Shel Silversteen.
Afterwards they went onto examining and discussing Arabic literature, reading poems from famous writers and poets citing the likes of Jibran Khalil Jibran.
Finally, The Proteges underwent a thorough media analyses of the Kuwaiti production titled “Zain Al Bahar”.

inThe day before, the Proteges were asked to suit up for the next day not knowing what for & to which occasion as usual.
They woke up got a good hearty breakfast and then went to a hotel next to their accommodation in their formal clothing.
There Mentor Mishari Al Mufarreh taught the students how they should prepare for & present a professional & appealing presentation all the way from context order to the way they incorporate their body in «body language» throughout their presention.
Mentor Mishari had everyone stand up and talk about anything for 5 minutes without prior warning.
It was one of the most interesting and life changing lectures. Each protege gave his/her own presentation about a topic of their personal interest.
