Even when you’re thousands of miles away from home, it finds a way to get back to you. The program visited Delivery Hero (DH), one of the world’s largest online food delivery platforms. In the past, they have bought companies such as Talabat, and more recently Carriage. The students were given a lecture by several high-ranking employees regarding elements of its business model, and how DH has implemented these ideas throughout its existence as a food delivery service.
The students then headed to another location, where they were greeted by mentors Mohammad Al-Munaikh and Abdulaziz Al-Loghani, who talked about the Ghinwa application and the story of Talabat, respectively. The students were faced with various creative challenged and humorous anecdotes from their mentors’ experiences in the world of business and the app development industry.
The business oriented day focused on addressing various challenges related with relevant mediums of service and product availability.
