The protégés then went to meet Mr. Abdulaziz Al Ghannam, one of Kuwait’s earliest and successful entrepreneurs. Mr. Abdulaziz talked about his early life and how hard he worked as a young man. He emphasised on the importance of education and business ethics such as honesty, trust, and fair-trading. He started his business from scratch and currently has an empire of businesses. The protégés asked Mr. Abdulaziz how the Iraqi invasion affected his business, which was at its peak during that period. He assured that him, as well as other entrepreneurs, were deeply affected, but Kuwait was more important, which is why he gave financial aid to Kuwaiti resistors during the invasion. Mr. Abdulaziz gave a tour of the Diwan to the protégés while explaining the story behind the pictures that were hanged on the wall.
